I knew I needed something relatively quick, but also something that would fill me nicely for the evening! Tonight's dish is a new twist on an old favourite. I absolutely love bolognaise, and even more so when made with delicious fresh ingredients. People often think that bolognaise requires a jar of something or other, but the fact is, it's actually incredibly easy to make from scratch as well as very cheap/spanspan style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;". This recipe shows just how easy it is and the chilli gives the bolognaise that little something extra. /spanbr /br /div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"span style="color: #38761d; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: x-large;"biChilli Bolognaise & Tagliatelle/i/b/span/divdiv class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"br //divdiv class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"biServes 4/i/b/divdiv class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"br //divdiv class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"bspan style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"Ingredients/span/b/divdiv class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"12 Tagliatelle nests/span/divdiv class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"750g fresh minced beef/span/divdiv class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"4 cloves of garlic (chopped finely)/span/divdiv class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"1 Onion (chopped finely)/span/divdiv class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"1/2 teaspoon of chilli flakes or 1 small chilli chopped/span/divdiv class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"4 tablespoons of tomato puree/span/divdiv class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"2 cans of chopped tomatoes/span/divdiv class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"Olive oil/span/divdiv class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"Salt and Pepper/span/divdiv class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"Parmesan cheese (optional)/span/divdiv class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"br //span/divdiv class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-K9SnMf3uy60/UPXX3G6IOtI/AAAAAAAAEBw/1m112J6ZMzw/s1600/Chilli+Bolognaise.jpg" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"img border="0" height="160" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-K9SnMf3uy60/UPXX3G6IOtI/AAAAAAAAEBw/1m112J6ZMzw/s640/Chilli+Bolognaise.jpg" width="640" //a/divdiv class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"bspan style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"Method/span/b/divdiv class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"1. Begin by chopping the onions and garlic finely. Heat a little oil in a saucepan and sweat the /span/divdiv class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"    onions and garlic until softened./span/divdiv class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"2. Add the mince and cook until nicely browned and season well with salt and pepper./span/divdiv class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"3. Meanwhile, bring a separate pot of water to the boil, and add the tagliatelle. Cook for /span/divdiv class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"    approximately 10 minutes or until 'al dente'./span/divdiv class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"4. Next, add the two cans of tomatoes, tomato puree and chilli (or chilli flakes)./span/divdiv class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"5. Allow to cook for 10-15 minutes. Serve the bolognaise over pasta and top with parmesan /span/divdiv class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"    cheese if desired./span/divdiv class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"bspan style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"br //span/b/divdiv class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"bspan style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"E-D's Notes/span/b/divdiv class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"- Depending on how much of a kick you like, add as little or as much chilli as you like. My /span/divdiv class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"  advice is to add the chilli a little at a time and taste to test./span/divdiv class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"- On this occasion I served the bolognaise with tagliatelle  but alternatively it can be served with /span/divdiv class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"  penne, spaghetti or Molly's favourite creamy mash!/span/div
