Sometimes, when life gets busy, healthy eating seems harder. I feel like I’ve been “practicing” at making healthier choices for so long now that I should have the hang of eating well in ANY situation, but I still have moments when I mentally struggle. Particularly when I’m tired and hungry. (Hello, teething baby!)
This week, for example, I’ve had to run errands over my lunch break. On Monday, I had to take my son to the walk-in clinic to have a deep-set splinter pulled from his foot. (Ugh.) On Tuesday, I went to the dentist for a routine cleaning appointment. Both times, I thought to myself how convenient it would be to pick up lunch on the way back from these appointments, rather than take the time to make something at home.
