  • ⅛ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 1 large egg yolk, beaten
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 ripe banana
  • whipped cream for topping (Use the recipe from chocolate cream pie if needed)
