When I moved to Utah two years ago, it didn’t take me long to realize that the bakery game in this state was on point. And not just the typical donut bakery that I was used to back in Iowa, but bakeries that really knew what they were doing when it came to cookies. The cookies weren’t just measly 2-bite-wonders, they were big, thick, SOFT cookies like no other. (I realize that growing up in a small rural town may have something to do with my awe, but I’m going to pretend Utah is the cookie mecca.)
