There aren’t many things that put a smile on my face like a relaxing glass of wine. I’m an wine all-year-long kind of girl, but during the hot summer months, I crave wine in non-traditional ways. When the sun in shining and the temperature is climbing, I love whipping up wine-based frozen drinks flavored with familiar Latin flavors like passionfruit. Passionfruit is my all time favorite fruit, and it’s a flavor that’s found in many Caribbean and Latino cultures. We call it parcha in Puerto Rico, while my husband (who’s half Colombian) knows it as maracuya. Whatever you call it, passionfruit is an intoxicating sweet flavor that I can’t get enough of.
