Banana Mango Smoothie

I think it’s safe to say that I’m currently obsessed with smoothies.  I’ve never been big on breakfast in the morning.  That’s probably due to the fact that if I have to choose between waking up early to make breakfast or snoozing until the last possible minute while forgoing nourishment, I always choose the latter.  But smoothies are the one thing that I can spare 5 minutes for.  And they’re totally worth it.  As long as you start with the right ingredients, a smoothie can be a nutritionally power-packed way to start your morning.  My 1:1 ratio works for any fruit smoothie, so try this recipe with your favorite frozen fruit.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup frozen mango chunks
  • 1 small ripe banana, peeled (about ½ cup)
  • 1 cup plain yogurt (Greek or Regular)
  • 1-2 tablespoons agave nectar
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
