Homemade Skin Supporting Lip Balm

I will never forget the year we took a family vacation to the beach and my son got a terrible sunburn on his lips. They were blistered, swollen and sore and it made it hard for him to enjoy the rest of our vacation. I felt so bad, but I really hadn’t considered the need to put sunscreen on his lips. (I will never make that mistake again…poor guy.)

So what does that have to do with an skin-supporting lip balm recipe? Well, as we age, our lips do to. Sun damage can play a major role in premature aging and wrinkling of the lips. Unfortunately, as we age our bodies also produce less collagen, resulting in thinner, less voluptuous lips…

Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp Rosehip Seed Oil
  • 1 Tbsp Coconut Oil
  • 1 Tbsp Cocoa Butter
  • 1½ - 2 Tbsp Beeswax (more beeswax will create a harder consistency)
  • 5 Drops Carrot Seed Essential Oil
  • 3 Drops Peppermint Essential Oil
  • 1 Drops Frankincense Essential Oil
