I just can't believe how fast the days go by when you don't notice...that's what I think! And so slow goes a 'day' when you keep thinking when will the day end! Well that's how slow a day goes when you are home caring for a sick child at home. My little one was sick..not really really sick...he has been coughing his lungs off for the past 2 days....

Another crowd pleaser and kid friendly dish for any party or for a quick snack at home is this very simple and easy dish known as Mini bagel pizzas. Which kid doesn't like pizza right!? Best of all, you can have any topping your kid wishes. I think this dish is too good when you want to involve the kids in cooking but don't want to deal with a whole lot of mess of the dough and flou
I love to have dough handy, so that I can make what ever I think of easily and without thinking twice about whether I have this ingredient in my pantry or that stuff in my pantry! I am talking about ready to mix dough and mixes. Even I like to keep Murruku mix ready with me. In case I need murukku quick within an hour or so, this really comes handy, as it is pre-mixed, I just have to mak
During summer months, its natural to feel to eat light and healthy. I guess it because of the sun and the amount of sun light we absorb during the day. If I eat anything heavy, I feel so uncomfortable and uneasy. That's why I like easy to put together stuff, so that I don't have to spend much time in the kitchen. For this reason I love the semi-homemade dishes! One of our family favo

Rasam is a tangy and sour soup which is mainly South Indian. though South Indian, there are many types and versions of how its made. I love having hot hot fresh rasam in a glass before my meal. Now I know the they both are different, other than the looks which is the whole red lentils are

Having Canned or frozen channa / Chick peas on hand is quite useful for those rushed mornings. When using canned chick peas, you don't even have to cook for long. I usually soak channa overnight and then freeze them, so that I have them ready whenever needed. Any kind of chick peas is fine. While you find of white or kabuli channa for the canned ones, we can always get black and the

Eggs are very common in my house. I use them almost everyday. There might be a day or two when I may not use them but my fridge is always stocked with eggs. My younger one prefers them little lesser than t
