Lyn-Genet Recitas author of The Plan says that greek yogurt, asparagus and many other "healthy foods" may be causing me to gain weight. My first thought, what? Second thought, that's why I'm not losing the weight even though I'm doing everything I've been told. Before I bought the book I did my homework. This First magazine article explains the plan in great detail. It's a good

I miss blogging. Life is just always getting in the way. I've been journaling in my journal, but it's just not the same. So I'm back. Tay is almost finished with tenth grade. She has finals next week. Then hello summer break. I couldn't be happier. No more getting up before the sun. Can I hear an AMEN? Last weekend I went to Las Vegas. My friend Michelle flew down from SF and
As I grow in age, I value women over 40 most of all. Here are just a few reasons why:*A woman over 40 will never wake you in the middle of the night and ask, “What are you thinking?” She doesn’t care what you think.*If a woman over 40 doesn’t want to watch the game, she doesn’t sit around whining about it. So I'm getting this bug to decorate for Halloween. I used to go all out years ago. I had storage boxes full of decorations. But last year I sold all my decorations at a garage sale. I hadn't used them for several years and I had that urge to purge. I have no plans to go out and start buying new decorations just for Halloween, however a few Fall decorations couldn't hurt. When did it become September? Where did summer go? Why is it the older you get the months fly by? Since I haven't been on top of my diary posts I decided to do a quick "look what I did this summer" post. The beginning of summer started off with a Roaring '20s party. As it should. Not the Roaring '20s (though it was fun dressing up) but the party part. I'd like to thank Michelle for the

Yesterday I was searching the net looking for dinner ideas when I came across Kalyn's Kitchen - Seven Layer Tostadas. First thing I read was, "If you're a fan of Seven Layer Dip,"... Yes, yes I am.
