Homemade Potato Garlic Gnocchi

It's gnocchi time! For me making them is a very fun process. Although I am not very good at making these beautiful grooves. But anyway. Who cares? I knew I was going to fry them so it didn't matter. And frying them in brown butter is the best part of making gnocchi. Oh, no, eating is the very best part! Homema

Pan Roasted Brussels Sprouts

I recently discovered a new obsession - roasted vegetables. With a dash of brown butter or olive oil and a blend of my favourite spices they can be a perfect and a quick meal. Additionally, totally filling and completely healthy. The addition of sesame seeds made these brussels sprouts undoubtedly worth craving. Really, I'm almost dreaming about roasted veggies! Pan Ro

Carrot Fritters

I've been baking less sweets recently. I don't remember when I made a cake or cupcakes with a tall frosting for the last time. If I bake something sweet, it would probably contain honey instead of sugar and applesauce/bananas instead of butter. But to be honest, I can't describe how much I miss a fat, creamy and large cake. I guess it's time to check out the recipes and make one for my

Double Chocolate Chunk Muffins

Sometimes I need a dose of chocolate. Really. If  I crave it, I must get some. A similar situation occured yesterday. I couldn't stop dreaming about large dark rich chocolate muffins full of chocolate chunks. Without thinking too much, I mixed up the batter and enjoyed these in less than one hour. I didn't even cool them and ate warm straight from the oven. And, oh, what a s

Raspberry Mousse Pie

A raspberry mousse pie was in my thoughts for a long time. I remember eating it when I was little. For various celebrations, we would always buy a cake with thousands of layers of sponge cake, jam, cream and very often mousse. The ones with yogurt and raspberry mousse used to be my favourite. However, they used to be really heavy, unhealthy and probably artificially d

Healthy Chocolate Oat Fudge Bars

I always believed that raw food could never be as delicious as ordinary baked goods which are packed with butter and refined sugars. But now I think that it's just very difficult to compare it. The taste between raw and baked desserts is very different. Raw desserts usually don't have that chewy glutinuous texture and butter flavour. But there are other ingredients like nut

Potato and Dill Fritters with Cheese

I often come home and there is nothing prepared to eat. Then, as a rule, I usually make myself a batch of pancakes. And they are never the same. That's what I love about pancakes - I can let my imagination decide what flavour combination I crave that time. And it never fails. So these pancakes include one of my favourite combinations: potatoes and dill. I never forget to season f

Lightened-up Lemon Bundt Cake

I don't know what could be better than a slice of cake with a cup of tea or coffee for breakfast. It's such a weakness of mine! But it elates me so much that I don't see a reason why I should stop enjoying a cake during my breakfast. This lemon cake has a nice lemon flavour and the glaze makes it even better (which is my favourite part of the cake and disappea

Grilled Cheese Pesto Sandwich

Grilled cheese sandwich is one of my favourite quick snacks. It couldn't be easier and faster to make it. I think I could never get bored of grilled cheese sandwiches. Just think about it. You can think of so many variations for the filling. Okay, this time I can not offer anything special - this one's a simple grilled cheese sandwich with pesto sauce. I just wanted to share my p

Poppy Seed Rolls

During the Easter holidays I always make desserts with poppy seeds. I couldn't imagine my Easter table without poppy seed rolls, filled buns, swirl breads, cakes and so on. So traditionally I baked these poppy seed rolls which filled the house with amazing aroma. These rolls are soft and pillowy and there's a sweet poppy seed filling in every bite thanks to

Chewy No-Bake Oatmeal Bars

Recently I've been so obsessed with all things oatmeal. Okay, not even recently. It's been a long time since I do not want all that unhealthy store-bought stuff anymore. That's just because  I can make myself much more delicious treats at home which are healthy. That means I can eat tons of them without feeling guilty. So this time I made no-bake sweet ba

Oven Fries

Potatoes has always been one of my favourite meals, no matter how I prepare them. Honestly, I usually like them simply fried in a skillet and simply seasoned with my favourite herbs. But when I realize how much oil I need to use if I want them tender, crispy and not burned... Luckily, I discovered a new favourite way to prepare potatoes. Bake them in the oven! It needs only 1 teaspoon

Yellow Butter Cupcakes

Imagine a soft like a pillow, moist and buttery cupcake with a fluffy chocolate frosting on top. Yes. These cupcakes are exactly like that. I like the fact that these have a strong butter flavour so it's important that you use a really good quality butter. And don't use low fat ingredients here. Speaking about the frosting, it seems like there's

Mozzarella Sticks with French Onion Dip

I don't know how many times I found myself staring at mozzarella stick pictures on the internet. They look so good with all that melty cheese and crispy bread crumbs around it. Pumpkin Pie Oatmeal

After I made chocolate oatmeal, I was inspired to try out many more flavours. Pumpkin pie oatmeal sounded too good not to be made. I'm very happy that it tasted as good as it sounded. Flourless Peanut Butter Cookies

Peanut butter. two magical words. In fact, I don't really like plain peanut butter by itself and I wouldn't eat it from the jar but added to baked goods it creates an amazing flavour. Blueberry Muffins

I don't remember when I last baked something with blueberries. After making a blueberry coffee cake where my blueberries sank, honestly, I was a little bit afraid to experience it again. Chocolate Oatmeal

Obviously, this oatmeal is for those who HATE oatmeal. Because after you taste this - you fall in love with oats. It feels like you're eating a rich in fat and gooey chocolate dessert. No-Bake PB Krispy Treats

My obsession for healthy food is continuing. Okay, rice krispies aren't the most healthy ingredient, but overall these treats are healthy enough to eat all of them, ah I mean, some. Irish Soda Bread

This is a basic recipe for Irish soda bread. It is a dense and soft bread, perfect for toasting! Actually I've never tasted any similar bread so this is a nice addition to my bread recipe list. Cinnamon Bun Bread

Ohh my cinnamon. Recently I bake so much with it. This cinnamon bun bread is incredible. It's chewy, gooey and sweet. However, I found it really sweet. It's okay if you eat just one small piece or have a slice with a strong cup of coffee. Next time I will reduce the amount of sugar for the topping. Despite of this I really enjoyed this bread. I only wouldn't call this bread.
