Happy Wednesday, friends! And more importantly, happy Global Running Day! Crazy to think I’ve been running for over twelve years now, and still going strong today. Here is a picture from my first ever race – the Race for the Cure 5K in Cincinnati way back in 2005!
I was a total newbie runner and had no idea it would become such a big part of my life. I knew I needed more activity and exercise in my life, and it seemed like running was a convenient and inexpensive way to ease into the fitness world. I was fresh out of college and my best friend/roommate and I trained and ran together – I’m pretty our finish time was somewhere around 31-32 minutes. We were so proud to have run and finished, and couldn’t wait to sign up for our next race. We were hooked!
