Chocolate Chip Pancakes

Chocolate Chip Pancakes

span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"We all love pancakes - they'e cheap, quick to make and incredibly versatile. But it occurred to me, one snowy morning when I needed something a bit more indulgent than cereal, how much lovelier they would be with a sprinkling of dark (plain) chocolate chips thrown in. /spanbr /span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"br //spanspan style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"I've had these for breakfast with the girls, but they would make a great pudding too, with maybe a drizzle of toffee sauce and a scoop of good vanilla ice cream. This recipe makes quite a lot, so if you have some batter left over, either make them and refrigerate (warming up gently to serve) or refrigerate the batter and make your second batch fresh./spanbr /span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"br //spana href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/joeybinx77/8408258988/" title="choc chip pancakes with toffee sauce cut by joeybinx77, on Flickr"img alt="choc chip pancakes with toffee sauce cut" height="333" src="http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8091/8408258988466cb9a81f.jpg" width="500" //abr /span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;"span style="color: #cc0000; font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"bbr //b/span/spanspan style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;"span style="color: #cc0000; font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"bChocolate Chip Pancakes/b/span/spanbr /span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;"span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"iMakes 15-17, depending on size./i/span/spanbr /divspan style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;"/spanbr //span/divspan style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;"span style="color: #cc0000; font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"bIngredients:/b/span/spanbr /span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;"span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"120g plain flour/span/spanbr /span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;"span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"1 scant tablespoon sugar/span/spanbr /span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;"span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"1 tsp baking powder/span/spanbr /span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;"span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"good pinch of sea salt/span/spanbr /span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;"span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"250ml semi-skimmed milk/span/spanbr /span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;"span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"20g melted, unsalted butter/span/spanbr /span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;"span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"1 egg/span/spanbr /span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;"span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"50g plain (dark) chocolate chips/span/spanbr /divspan style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;"/spanbr //span/divspan style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;"span style="color: #cc0000; font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"bMethod/b/span/spanbr /span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;"span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
