Drunken Bird Seed Multi-seed Multigrain Beer Bread

Drunken Bird Seed Multi-seed Multigrain Beer Bread is like a hearty dense German style dark bread with a little nut and seed love mixed in; and it’s SO EASY!

Ingredients

  • 1 c. all purpose flour (not self-rising)
  • 1 T baking powder (I use aluminum free)
  • ½ c. flaxseed meal
  • ½ c. almond meal
  • ½ c. cornmeal (I used Quaker)
  • ½ c. rye flower (I used Bob’s Redmill)
  • ½ c. sunflower seeds, unsalted
  • ½ c. pumpkin seeds, unsalted (toast them first if you want a nuttier flavor)
  • ¼ c. chia seeds
  • Pinch of salt (I used Himalayan sea salt)
  • 1 bottle dark beer (I used 1554 black lager from New Belgium Brewing)
  • 2 T honey (I used Ambrosia from Madhava - if you want it a touch sweeter use more)
  • 1 T olive oil for bread pan and top (I used California Olive Ranch)
