Cheesecake Stuffed Devil’s Food Cake
This is a sponsored post by Lunchbox. All photography and opinions are mine.
The first time I had a Cheesecake Stuffed Devil’s Food Cake was about three years ago at a FANCY restaurant.
On the menu, it was listed as a “Snowball Cake” and I was so INTRIGUED by the name that I ordered it right away.
It’s still one of the the BEST desserts I have ever eaten.
Every time I think about it, my mouth starts watering! hahaha
Basically, this cake has everything I am CRAZY about, packed into a neat little dome shape…
Cheesecake … check
Devil’s food cake … check
Pudding … check
Coconut … check
Trust me…This dessert is WORTH every single calorie 😉
I wanted to LEARN how to make this cake at home and I found a recipe here that was very EASY to follow and and it starts off with a cake mix.
It tasted exactly like the Snowball Cake I had at that fancy shmancy restaurant…Yay!
I had ASSUMED that the cake is baked first and the center is hollowed out and filled with cheesecake.
But I was wrong… the cake and cheesecake are actually both baked TOGETHER.
Isn’t that the COOLEST thing ever?!
