A few years ago I fell in love with acai bowls. I had never heard of an “acai bowl,” but I was definitely acquainted with acai. We had previously had it in sorbet mixed with chocolate or blueberries, or in powder form. I went to a smoothie bar and tried my first acai bowl. A typcial acai bowl is made with acai puree, bananas, some kind of liquid (usually soy milk), and maybe some other fruit added in. They are topped with granola and a drizzle of honey, and they are delicious!
Sambazon sent me some coupons to get some packs of their acai smoothie packs. They heard somewhere that I really like smoothies. :) So I headed over to the store and picked up a few packs to use in my daily green smoothies and smoothie bowls. I really love what the acai puree adds to my smoothies. I like knowing I’m packing in a few more antioxidants with every sip.
