A Mail Obsession: Vegan Cuts Snack Box Review

A Mail Obsession: Vegan Cuts Snack Box Review

When I was a kid I found it mystifying that my parents were disinterested in mail.  For me, it was an obsession.  I had rigged up a system where every morning in the summer I walked out to the mailbox, opened it by an inch, and then checked out the window periodically throughout the day to see if it had been fully closed.  Once it was shut, I knew the mail had arrived.  (Of course, on days when we had the flag up for outgoing mail, I could take a break from my trick for the morning.)

During that time I was getting pen pal letters, Weekly Reader packages, and my best friend and I were spending our afternoons calling businesses with 800 numbers and asking them to send us pamphlets.  It’s ironic that in my adult life I want nothing to do with junk mail, while as a kid I was seeking out opportunities to get anything in the mailbox with my name on it…  even if it meant gaining another issue of Refreshing Facts About Coke.
