  • So, here it is! A little peek at what’s coming soon! I know, I know, it’s not much, but I hope you guys like it, and I hope you’re patient while I make the transition. There may be some glitches and issues along the way, but hopefully, everything will go smoothly.
  • In the meantime, how about some irresistible treats?
  • When I started planning Bakingdom’s birthday cake, I knew I wanted Rice Krispies treats, but I also wanted cake…so I had both. I didn’t want plain treats, though. I wanted something new.
  • I’ve seen strawberry treats, Nutella treats, and Neapolitan Rice Krispies treats before, but I’ve never seen them all together. I couldn’t think of anything yummier!
  • The strawberry and vanilla layers of Neapolitan treats are no-brainers, but the reason I chose Nutella for the chocolate layer, besides that fact that it’s freaking delicious, is because I don’t have access to cocoa Krispies here in the Netherlands. Nutella morphs plain Krispies into cocoa, but better.
  • These are like everything good and glorious in the world.
  • If you don’t believe me, make them…you’ll see. Just don’t come blaming me for the stomach ache after you’ve eaten like all of them in one sitting. Resistance is futile. You’ve been warned.

  • Makes one 9×13-inch batch
  • Ingredients
  • FOR THE STRAWBERRY LAYER
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • About 6.5 ounces marshmallows
  • 2 tablespoons strawberry jam or preserves, preferably seedless
  • 2 tablespoons crushed freeze-dried strawberries
  • 4 cups crisp rice cereal
  • FOR THE VANILLA LAYER
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • About 6.5 ounces marshmallows
  • 4 cups crisp rice cereal
  • FOR THE CHOCOLATE HAZELNUT LAYER
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • About 6.5 ounces marshmallows
  • 1/4 cup hazelnut spread, such as Nutella
  • 4 cups crisp rice cereal
