Wednesday, August 10th marks National S’mores Day, and I can’t be more thrilled. I never enjoyed s’mores growing up because it’s not a staple Asian food, but my friends made certain I didn’t miss out later in life. As an adult, I now sit around a fire pit with a large bag of marshmallows in hand and half pieces of graham crackers and chocolates nearby. My friends and I chatter away as we roast marshmallows to the point they are warm and gooey. My favorite part is blowing out the tiny torches just in time for them to turn a beautiful brown. Sandwiching them with cinnamon graham crackers and a bar of dark chocolate are all I need to make my evenings complete. Aside from the traditional way of making s’mores, there are so many versions floating around the web that are worth a prize for creativity as well as taste. Celebrate National S’mores Day with me by checking out all the delicious recipes and ideas below. Maybe you’ll even consider trying one. I think I’ll attempt to make them all.
