my buddy, my buddy

my buddy, my buddy

Remember that a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MyBuddy(doll)"doll/a? Well, I guess I don't remember the doll as much as I remember the jingle--"My buddy, my buddy, wherever I go, he goes..."br /br /a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/ETNc90pgd8/SnIekdg7o7I/AAAAAAAAL9E/MZmtgK8AYIQ/s1600-h/plank.jpg"img alt="" border="0" id="BLOGGERPHOTOID5364383717898560434" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/ETNc90pgd8/SnIekdg7o7I/AAAAAAAAL9E/MZmtgK8AYIQ/s400/plank.jpg" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center;" //aspan id="fullpost"br /That's neither here nor there, except for the fact that these stellar bars are inexplicably entitled a href="http://www.verybestbaking.com/recipes/detail.aspx?ID=32249"Chocolate Peanut Buddy Bars/a. I don't really get it, do you?br /br /This recipe, originally discovered on the back of a bag of chocolate chip morsels, has been a favorite in my family for quite some time. The Great Mambino especially emloves/em 'em.br /br /I followed the recipe except for two things--I used Barney butter span style="font-size: 85%;"(/spana href="http://asoutherngrace.blogspot.com/search?q=barney+butter"span style="font-size: 85%;"it's baaaaack/span/aspan style="font-size: 85%;")/span, and rather than using some of the morsels for a frosting, I put them all in the batter. That's just how I roll. OH, and I sprinkled the top with some chocolate salt, a wonderful gift sent to me long ago by Katie of a href="http://saltandchocolate.blogspot.com/"Salt and Chocolate/a span style="font-size: 85%;"(appropriate blog name, yes?)/span--a long-overdue thanks, Katie!br /br /a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/ETNc90pgd8/SmD9sj0aJAI/AAAAAAAALsE/wvQa1c-idwM/s1600-h/bite.jpg"img alt="" border="0" id="BLOGGERPHOTOID5359562498542019586" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/ETNc90pgd8/SmD9sj0aJAI/AAAAAAAALsE/wvQa1c-idwM/s400/bite.jpg" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center;" //abr /They're moist, chocolatey, and aromatic, and they truly melt in your mouth. Perhaps if you make them and realize how wonderful they are, you'll forgive me for getting that jingle stuck in your head...br /br /Oh, and in case you were curious, a href="http://asoutherngrace.blogspot.com/2009/07/my-latest-acquisitions.html"the beasts/a are keeping me busy:br /br /a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/ETNc90pgd8/SnIh7iEYHnI/AAAAAAAAL9M/qZ6Mzb2KDFQ/s1600-h/toilet.jpg"img alt="" border="0" id="BLOGGERPHOTOID5364387412792843890" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/ETNc90p_gd8/SnIh7iEYHnI/AAAAAAAAL9M/qZ6Mzb2KDFQ/s400/toilet.jpg" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 400px; TEXT-ALIGN: center;" //a br /emspan style="font-size: 85%;"My buddies, my buddies.br /And I'm so glad the plunger's in the background--talk about a party pooper br /(insert rimshot here)(and go ahead and groan)./span/embr /br /Now if I could just teach them to lift the lid and use it.br //span
