Hibiscus Margarita

Hibiscus Margarita

Happy Cinco de Mayo!! Yes, I know another cocktail! But with all these celebrations, what’s a girl to do?? And since Cinco de Mayo falls on a Tuesday, I know you might not have time to whip up some tasty Michelada Tacos or Queso Dip, but you probably have time to make a cocktail, right? And you’ll definitely have time to make these addictive little Pasta Para Duros snacks too.

And really, any excuse is a good excuse for a cocktail.. and a snack. At least in my book.

So, why a Hibiscus Cocktail? Well, why not? I am a huge fan of Hibiscus tea in the summer – I love it’s bright, citrusy flavor and thought it would make a great margarita… which of course it does! And if you’re having a group over, it’s even better – this margarita requires just a little lime juice so very little juicing is involved which is always  a plus. The hibiscus tea is a snap to make. Just combine the hibiscus flowers and water, bring to a boil and let sit and then strain out the flowers.
